After reading “Ten Rules for Liberty Guerillas” and getting an invite to the original “gas-roots” event on Facebook, I launched a Post-It Note Activism at the Gas Pump event for WUWT’s facebook group members to join in.

Stickey-note messages can be simple and to the point.

The mission is: carry a pad of post-it notes with you in your car, with a magic marker pen, so any time you stop at the gas pump, check your oil, go shopping at the market, etc and see an outrageous price (like what it costs to fill your gas tank), that you put a stickey note there with a snappy, catchy slogan to bring attention to people what the cost of unneeded climate regulations and taxes on carbon, energy, etc. is upon everyones pocketbooks.

Change the narrative...

Since starting this event and promoting it through our Facebook group, some of our down-under readers are picking up the ball to fight the carbon tax there in the same way. Don’t COP It Australia! is now promoting the idea.

Don't COP It! Australia! Gets into the fun...

Stickey-note activism is now going viral, because anybody can do it. You dont need big signs, you dont need lobbying money, or to live near a state or provincial capital. You dont have to stand around in the cold shouting at passing cars and getting honked at for looking silly. The post-it messages are small and inexpensive, but placed in high value places where people are feeling the hurt the most: at the gas pump, where gas prices have gone up more than 25% in recent months as Obama has illegally shut down offshore drilling, in contempt of court orders. Keep your slogans less than 7 words, keep it clean, the post-it note doesnt vandalize or deface anything, and it will be seen by many people using the gas pump or food stand you have just shopped at.

How is that Hope & Change working out for you?
